reliability of transmission and distribution systems, especially in traditionally high-energy cost rural areas; more efficiently supply energy at peak periods of demand on the grid;
and increase use of existing equipment, postponing or eliminating the need for costly upgrades.
Advanced Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Grants
To provide grants to small- and medium-sized manufacturers to enable them to build new or retrofit existing manufacturing and industrial facilities to produce or recycle
advanced energy products in communities where coal mines or coal power plants have closed.
Battery and Critical Mineral Recycling
To award grants for research, development, and demonstration projects to create innovative and practical approaches to increase the reuse and recycling of batteries.
Battery Manufacturing and Recycling Grants
To provide grants to ensure that the United States has a viable domestic manufacturing and recycling capability to support a North American battery supply chain.
