Central to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 is the economy-wide deployment of carbon management technology and infrastructure—across the entire value chain of carbon capture, removal,
conversion, transport, and storage. DOE is delivering real-world carbon management solutions to meet U.S. climate goals, ensure energy security and reliability, and create good-paying jobs.
Through these solutions, we also have the opportunity to ensure climate justice and environmental protection for communities that have been disproportionately impacted by fossil fuels.
