Provides planning, design and construction for Department of Agriculture assisted dams to extend their service life and meet current safety requirements.

Eligible Uses

Rehabilitate high hazard watershed dams previously installed under the following four authorities:

  1. PL 83-566
  2. PL 78-534
  3. RC&D
  4. Pilot Program

Responsible Agency/Bureau:
Department of Agriculture - Natural Resources Conservation Service
Funding Recipients:
Local Sponsor or Legal Subdivision of State or Tribal Government. Eligible Sponsors Include Cities, Counties, Towns, Conservation Districts, Or Any Federally-Recognized Native American Tribe or Tribal Organization.
