Drinking Water State Revolving Fund: Lead Service Lines Replacement

Drinking Water State Revolving Fund funding as described in the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund program, below, with eligible projects limited to lead service line replacement and associated activities related to identification, planning, design and removal. Under the IIJA, 49 percent of funds shall be eligible to be grants or 100 percent principal forgiveness loans.

Eligible Uses

States receive a capitalization grant with no state match required. The states provide low interest loans, principal forgiveness, and/or grants to replace lead service lines. Further information will be forthcoming.
